ARTIST STATEMENT

My Art is varied in process and content.

Just as life takes it’s unpredictable turns, my art reflects that same journey of reaching certain destinations on a convoluted path. I use resins, paints, my original photo images and pouring mediums to achieve the visual and tactile textures that I feel are so important.

I have always enjoyed experimenting with various mediums, substrates and genres. I allow my subject to dictate the medium and style. When working with images which were captured 70 plus years ago, my final piece of art will reflect that place in time. Example of that, would be the “FORTIE’S TIME” Series which can be found on my website at WWW.CWARJONE.COM

My goal is to honor my subject and respect who they are or who they were. If I can create art pieces that evoke a strong and positive emotion in those who view them, then I know my investment of time creativity and energy has been well worth the effort.
