4th Annual Wood River Valley Studio Tour
August event is the largest of its kind in the state
For one weekend in August, local artists from Bellevue, Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley open their studios and give visitors a rare glimpse into their creative spaces. This event, which is free and open to the public, lets the community see works in progress and learn about the creative processes of artists whose work they usually see only in a finished form in a gallery, art fair or public location.
“Just to be present in the space, to see the various media, the tools and implements, gives the visitor a greater understanding and appreciation of how a work of art is created,” said Suzanne Hazlett, co-founder of the Wood River Valley Studio Tour. “The artists are opening up the most sacred, intimate places.”
