“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist.” —Pablo Picasso
My first art experience was in preschool. Every week we go to put on these weird things called “smocks”, which were really just oversized men’s shirts put on backwards, and we go to go outside – also a big plus as a kid – and finger paint. Whoever came up with that idea, my hats off to you. What I liked about it than and remember now was the freedom. No instruction, just dip you fingers in paint and go, on endless reams of paper laid out on the sidewalk.
