My passion for making jewelry began when I was just 12 years old. I used to go through my Mom’s treasure boxes of necklaces, earrings, and rings and fell in love with the feel of shiny metals and the sparkle of stones. At this young age, I began shaping brass wire into bracelets and rings (long before it was called “wire wrapping”) and sold my first set to an Avon lady. And so my pursuit of making jewelry began…
I’ve worked in many different mediums and techniques in my lifetime and now, years later, I have rediscovered the art of weaving wire. This technique has greatly changed since I was 12, evolving into intricately interlacing wire to delicately form around the gems and minerals. The faceted stones I have acquired over the years inspire a unique and elegant quality in my pieces. This contrasts with the cabochons and natural stone specimens which inspire my more Bohemian and organic look. The fluidity and rich textures I create with copper and silver wire makes these one of a kind pieces into meaningful collectibles.
